Making Magic and Memories Together
We are proud parents, veterans, and Portlanders. We've been a part of this wonderful community for 16 years, and fall more in love with our town every day! Tiffany is a nurse, a paramedic, a flight medic, and an active member of Portland Civic Players. James is an Infantryman and constantly in awe of his amazing wife.
Together, we have 7 fantastic children (and all the adopted best friends). Charlotte recently graduated from U of M and is now teaching in Waterford. Corbin is so charismatic and career-oriented. You might know Clayton from Marching Band, a passion he continues to pursue at Western Michigan. Abby went from Portland Cheer to studying at Cental Michigan to be a teacher. Gabe is at U of M and on track to be the funniest accountant in the state. Nathaniel is a freshman at PHS and an incredibly talented artist. Parker is an 8th grader on our PMS robotics team.
What's with the Name?
Why Monkey Llama Games? Because we wanted to welcome everyone to a family-friendly, whimsical spot for fun. Oh! Where did the name come from?
Our Nathaniel was a round little guy with no neck when we brought him home from the hospital. Mom immediately named him "Chunky Monkey" I still remember him carrying around his favorite stuffed monkey everywhere. Not so chunky anymore, we still call him "Monkey."
Parker was instantly smitten with his Mom, as all good boys are. As a newborn, he would cry any time Mom had to go without him.. Unless I read him "Llama Llama misses Mama." Of course, he has been "Llama" ever since.
