Handcrafted Fine Woodwork Chess Set — A Legacy in Every Move

Some things are made to serve a purpose. Others are made to make a statement.

This handcrafted fine woodwork chess set belongs to the latter.

Created in Saranac, Michigan, each set celebrates the natural beauty of fine hardwoods and the timeless appeal of the game of kings. Every chess piece is individually hand-worked from hardwood, while the board is assembled from carefully selected cuts chosen for the extraordinary beauty of their grain. No imitation finishes. No shortcuts. Just exceptional wood, thoughtful design, and craftsmanship that honors the material.

The pieces alone require 90 hours of skilled craftsmanship. That kind of work cannot be hurried, automated, or replicated by simply making more. Each hour is an investment in the details that distinguish a truly handcrafted piece from an ordinary chess set.

Imagine it on your office desk, in your study, or at the center of a gathering with friends. The warmth of the hardwood catches the light. The grain invites a closer look. And when someone asks where you found it, you have a story worth telling: a piece of fine woodworking, crafted by hand right here in Michigan.

Chess has long been associated with strategy, intellect, and the quiet confidence of a well-considered move. This set brings that tradition into your home or professional space with a presence that feels equally at home in a private library, executive office, or carefully appointed living room.

Whether it becomes the centerpiece of your own collection, the setting for a weekly game, or a gift for someone who appreciates the finer things, this is a chess set meant to be enjoyed for years and treasured long after the final move.

Ninety hours in the making. A lifetime of games ahead.

Handcrafted in Saranac, Michigan. Made from fine hardwoods. Built for those who understand that the best things are worth doing properly.
